…First business meeting to discuss building a Catholic church in Denmark. Rev. Rohlinger donated the land -- construction began the following year. The parish was “All Saints” after the next large feast day in the Church.
Nov. 1912
The first Mass held Sunday, November 17 in the newly-finished basement. Money was scarce, so the basement was roofed over and used as a temporary church. Fr. Dusold serves as a mission priest until April 1922.
Dec. 1923
First resident pastor appointed – Fr. Joseph Ahearn. This begins a time of growth with a rectory built and summer catechism started.
July 1932
Fr. John Gehl is assigned to All Saints. Parishioners meet with Father and the decision is made to build the current stone structure.
April 1933
The first mass is held inour present church on April 16, 1933. Over 900 attended the consecration ceremonies, including more than 100 clergy
May 1933
The church organ is dedicated by Vicar General Rev. Joseph A. Marx.
May 1944
Fr. C. A. Dionne replaces Fr. John Gehl. More land is purchased – eventually a new convent and six-room grade school are built.
Sept. 1958
Classes begin in our present school building.
1971
Fr. Donald Feller assigned to All Saints Parish.
1982
All Saints School adds hot lunch program.
1992
Msgr. Robert Gulig becomes pastor. All Saints School is accredited by the Wisconsin Non-Public School Accreditation Association.
1999
St. James (Cooperstown) and All Saints consolidate parish resources.
2001
Church choir loft enhanced and church parking lot expanded.
February 2002
A committee is formed to discuss an expansion of All Saints’ facilities. An initial plan is developed and presented to the Finance Council and the Parish Council – approved by both groups on February 12, 2002.
